The Missing HeartBeat in Edo

As we mark and celebrate the International Youth Day 12/08/2015, I keep asking myself wondering and pondering what the government of Edo state under the able leadership of Governor Adams Aliu Oshiomhole has done to touch the lives of our youths. Somebody with answers should assist me out of this dilemma.
Did I hear you say Youth Empowerment, this is where to a large extent this administration has totally failed! The youth remains the life wire and heartbeat of any country either developed or developing, without the youth a country can't boast of advancing its course in terms of development. So when the youths are properly cared for by extension the government has directly invested in the future of the youth. However when the government fails to do the needful it indirectly increases social vices in the society such as cultism ,armed robbery etc .

I beg to be corrected youth empowerment is dead in Edo state the government has done nothing in this regard. It will surprise you that most public offices are been occupied by the aged who are afraid to leave ,while young and able graduates and those with informal skills are roaming the streets.
Another area, agriculture has been neglected, abandoned and un-tapped as young people can also be encouraged to go into farming.
I would like to narrate a brief personal encounter that happened to me some years back ,we were all invited for an agricultural empowerment program by the Comrade Governor in the early part 2012,with great enthusiasm myself and other hopeful Edo youths were all at Idia College to commence the one week training with different speakers on ground to lecture us then. On the first day the governor with his retinue of commissioners and SSA's came for the opening ceremony ,as the event was hitting its climax we started seeing reduced participation from the government officials. Funny enough on the last day only one director from the Ministry of Agriculture was present which almost resulted to a breakdown of law and order in the venue that day. Don't ask me how it all ended, that's all stories now,so painful with our useful time and scare resources all went down the drain while the loans were given to people who never step feet in that training. It was truly an horrific experience. However this lacuna has that's why promising youths are now mere drivers who use any available car as kabukabu all over the state.
Hmmmmmm, can the government, our government not do anything to ameliorate this issue? What has this self righteous administration done for our languishing youths in the areas of sports and technical education, this is so so sad!
Let me not open more pages from our book of lamentations!
But something Better is here, here around the corner. HOPE!!!
