The price for freedom is entirely vigilance. However Government is
too big to be left only in the hands of those in Government alone ,we
all need to be involved. Still on the borrowing spree please don't mind
me! We would have expected a situation were government comes out with what has been done with the first trench borrowed. The hoitytoity ,cries with vehement protest and agitations against the loan move was generated out of the people's distrust and loss of confidence in the government of the day in Edo state.
The governor Adams Aliu Oshiomhole as a matter of necessity has a
responsibility to show to us all what has been achieved with the first
trench of the borrowed loan, because I observe that since this
hullabaloo about this loan palaver started some ululators have all
intensified their efforts by always showing us the uncompleted Central
Hospital building that has been under construction since 2009 till
2015,am asking myself was that what was executed with the said sum from
the first trench of the loan???
Let's learn from Greece.
In the world over, what's obtainable and in operation is participatory governance were there is direct engagement between the government and the people especially the hoipolloi ,I see that lacking seriously in Edo state. The comrade governor might be a demigod in the eyes of some not mine ,please don't be offended but I face the realities of his low-state as the driver of this state in this regard.
Ultimately I repeat again for emphasis that government is saddled with the responsibility of giving account of its stewardship to the people been governed and stop keeping us all in the dark expecting fathom and cosmetic projects to be glorified at the altar of mediocrity, Edo people aren't gullible anymore.
As it stands the Senate which clearly harbors a venn nomenclature has a big role to play as there are no clear majority in the Senate for this issue to just scale through smoothly. So they need to do the needful so as for the possible outcome to benefit the entire interest of Edo people not considering party sentiments.
GOD BLESS EDO STATE.
