Up Youths!!!

Still on the celebration of the international youth day, we all saw on Television how government at all levels were all pouring encomia and showering praises on the youth ,how they have been the bedrock of our democracy and the future of tomorrow blah blah blah. These are all mere rhetorics. Sincerely why these deceptive and mocking remarks, what's really on ground to show that much has been done to critically handle pertinent issues that concerns the youths.

Coming back to the celebration with the theme "Youth Civic Engagement" which has two stand points. One ,that government should as a matter of urgency incorporate the youths into participatory governance and Secondly that the youths are to embark on capacity building individually in order for them to be better positioned to hold government accountable at all times. Sadly, Government at all levels have deliberately caged the youths by not placing priority and premium on youth empowerment and employment while creating an enabling environment for youths to fly high. Its said that youths who are gainfully engaged are more easy to  govern but on the other hand are perceived as threats to government because they can't be decieved and are not gullible. I understand that its our level of poverty both physically and mentally that has made us stoop so low to celebrate mediocrity in our democratic sojourn.
Imagine the level of mediocrity which the youth have plunged themselves into, a situation whereby government glorifies those who posses violent posture while sidelining meritorious, hardworking and resourceful youths. We are always quick to say build the youths build the nation,if the government fail to build the youth of this nation am wondering how Nigeria can ever be  developed?

Another angle to this discuss is for the youths to sincerely answer these questions. Are young minds prepared to stand for their rights? Do they know their worth? Are they ready to be involved in promoting good governance in their immediate locality while eliminating the pursuit of shadows? Are they ready to take their destinies in their hands while we liberate ourselves from the shackles of those influential characters in our society? Let's not forget a Great Future lies ahead of us but that future needs to be quickly re-positioned.

All the same I celebrate the youths for their Never-dying spirit and patience. Truly Nigerian youths deserves to be celebrated.

EDO YOUTHS ARISE ,It will surely get BETTER!!!

GOD Bless Our Great Youths!!!
Build the youths! Build the Nation!
GOD Bless Nigeria!!!

Happy Youth Day My Friends!
