WHAT HAVE WE ACHIEVED?

Some would argue for on the positives, while others on the negatives but the overall assessment is our major focus here. Eight years ago, one would have thought that our saviour and messiah had arrived but after these years, are we still of that opinion?

Our dear state may not be so much blessed with what all others can boast of, but I am of the opinion that she has enough to boast of. The problem is, we haven't been given the proper reasons to boast of anything either by the present, or the past administrations!

I will emphasize on just two areas of our dear state's strength which has become some of her major weakness...
It is a clear fact that Edo state has the one of the best road network in west Africa. That's something to be proud of, but can we really be? What is the use of your legs if they cannot stand you up to walk? Or is the tooth useful that cannot let you smile? 2008 marked a new beginning of so much hope and expectations for us, the promise of good roads rented the air, thus we expected and are still waiting eight years later!

What an irony that our darling state is naturally endowed with a nature planned moat n drainage system and we still suffer from flood. Even in our few better roads! We expected that the flood control system should have been cleaned n dusted by now, but it has turned yet another abandoned project... What is the government's excuse on these issues? We are tired of hearing "what did they do in the eight years that they ruled?" My failure should not be an excuse for them to deceive the people that they are the saints while we are the demons. We have been deceived these eight years and its time to put ourselves together to fathom how much we have given and gotten in return! It is time to evaluate what we have achieved.... RISE UP EDO, AND STAND FOR THE FUTURE...
